I get what Gov. Abbott is doing, and political theatrics certainly has a place in our politics. And I understand that the border states can’t and shouldn’t shoulder the burden for Latin America refugees alone. But he’s not coordinating with anyone and he’s sending people from San Salvador with nothing but the clothes on their backs to fucking Chicago in the middle of a winter storm with no notice. His behavior is monstrous and is inhuman. I can’t understand people cheerleading him.
